Construction has started on a new Kum &
station/convenience store on a 68,000-square-foot site at the northeast
Fillmore streets where Chestnut was realigned during last year's Pikes
Authority (RTA) project. Photo looks northwest from Fillmore. According
Don Garcia of the
Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Kum & Go built the
on the boundary
line of the property where a gas station formerly operated at the former
intersection next to the interstate. CDOT bought that property last year to
least in part, for
a realigned southbound off-ramp as part of the upcoming project to
replace the Fillmore/I-25 interchange. See Kum & Go article.
