Westside Community Center - free flu shots for the needy Nov. 12 Adults and children over age 4 who meet eligibility requirements can receive free flu shots Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Westside Community Center.The location in the center complex (a former elementary school) will be the Nurse Center, 1616 W. Bijou St., facing onto Bijou Street. The clinic is a “collaboration of Penrose St. Francis Health Services, Walgreens Pharmacy and the Colorado Springs Fire Department,” a press release states, adding that the vaccine “is limited and will be available for as long as supply lasts.” Individual eligibility requirements include being uninsured/underinsured or having no vaccine coverage, the release states. A previous clinic this fall was provided at Westside Cares. For more information, call United Way 211.
