Numerous events - many of them free - on Westside in May and June

May 8, 2018
As always this time of year, a plethora of events/activities are occurring on the Westside - many of them free of charge.
Below are capsules about what's coming up in May-June. Anything new is identified as such at the top. Otherwise, events are presented chronologically.
Note: For event details (other than those that are ongoing), look for a separate article on the Pioneer's home page and/or a listing on
Competitors in the 2017 Garden of the Gods 10 Mile/10K run past the sheep pen at the Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site. It was the first time the course had been laid out that way, and it will be again for this year's race Sunday, June 10. The sheep are coatless; that will also be the case this year, with the 10 Mile closely following the ranch's annual Opening Day/Sheep Shearing Saturday, June 2.
