Free classes on Medicare, SSI, caregivers scheduled by Area Agency on Aging

Free classes geared for people at or near retirement age are being offered by the Area Agency on Aging at 14 S. Chestnut St.
The location is the lower floor of the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (PPACG) building, which has a large parking lot in front.
Upcoming class titles, dates, times and contact phone numbers appear below. Because class sizes are limited, registration is required.

       - Stressbusters for Caregivers: Fridays (Aug. 18 to Oct. 13) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. 886-7526.
       - Social Security 101: Aug. 29 from 5:30-7 p.m. 471-2096.
An ongoing free service at the Chestnut Street location is the Senior Information and Assistance Center, which is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Funded through the federal Older Americans Act and the State of Colorado, the Area Agency on Aging offers its programs through the PPACG, a regional facility that serves El Paso, Teller, and Park counties.
