Added Medicare 101 class to be offered at Old Colorado City Library Aug. 9 Aug. 1, 2018A free class discussing Medicare benefits and plans will be offered at the Old Colorado City Library, 2418 W Pikes Peak Ave., Thursday, Aug. 9. Offered by the Area Agency on Aging and Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD), Medicare 101 will start at 5:30 p.m. Because class sizes are limited, advance registration is required. For more information, call 471-2096 (Aging) or 389-8968 (PPLD). Geared for people approaching Medicare age (65), the session will provide “correct, accurate information as people transition from employment into active retirement,” a press release states. “Counselors are trained experts who do not sell or endorse any insurance products.” The library class is in addition to previously announced Medicare 101 offerings (Aug. 20 and 23) by the Area Agency on Aging at the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments building, 14 S. Chestnut St., which also require advance registration.
