Free tax-preparation assistance has begun for the season at the Westside Community Center Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The annual offering is geared for “low and moderate income filers [and] all ages are welcome,” a press release states.
A cooperative effort between the IRS and the AARP Foundation, the assistance is being offered in the east cottage at the center, 1616 W. Bijou St.
The service is provided by “IRS-trained and certified volunteers,” the release adds.
