Clarification

       In the March-April Westside Pioneer, District 3 City Council candidate Chuck Fowler wrote that CityServe is a faith-based “task force” led by the mayor in pursuit of solving homelessness.
       That is not accurate, according to Laura Janca of CityServe. While the group has met with the mayor and works with some homeless-addressing nonprofits, CityServe is a multi-church endeavor focused on “tangible acts of service in our community,” Janca said.
