With 11 galleries, ArtWalk season to start April 1

Now in its 11th year, Old Colorado City's First Friday ArtWalk will return April 3.
Eleven shops/galleries have signed on this year, with a 12th that may yet come on board, according to Sharon Wolff, owner of the Hunter-Wolff Gallery and organizer of the event.
ArtWalk is held from April to December, on the first Friday of the month, from 5 to 8 p.m.
People can visit as many participating locations as they like in a free, self-guided tour. Most offer refreshments, live entertainment and/or art demonstrations.
“The majority of galleries have participated for the past 10 years,” Wolff said. “ArtWalk continues to build interest and popularity in spite of so many other captivating events offered in this growing and vibrant city.”
All the galleries are on West Colorado Avenue, with all but one between 24th and 27th streets. They are as follows (street number in parentheses):
45 Degree Gallery (2528-B), Arati Artists Gallery (2425), Chavez Gallery (2616), Colorado Creative Co-Op (2513 1/2), Cucuru Gallery Café (2332), Febra's (2532), Hunter-Wolff Gallery (2510), Laura Reilly Fine Arts Gallery (2522), Running Wolf Gallery (2514), Squash Blossom (2531) and Thunder Mountain Trading Company (2508-A).
New this year is Febra's, a family-owned shop that opened last summer, offering local art along with ladies' fashions and accessories, jewelry and gifts.
