The Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center will host its 11th annual Bighorn Sheep Day Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is at 1805 N. 30th St. Admission is free.
Activities will include crafts, games, guided walks, presentations and chances to view bighorns from the center as well as the Mesa Road overlook.
The annual event honors the roughly 70 Rampart Herd bighorns, who live in the open areas north of the Garden and often come down to the park or the neighboring Glen Eyrie property. The bighorn is also the official state animal of Colorado.
Overflow parking will be available in the Rock Ledge Ranch parking lot on the other side of 30th Street.
