A Colorado Springs Utilities crew fixes a gas leak at 25th Street and Naegele Road Dec. 21. The crew was called in after a contractor installing guard rails for Fountain Creek’s 25th Street bridge (right) accidentally hit a gas line while digging holes for guard-rail posts such as the ones in the foreground. Gas service to the businesses along Naegele was cut off most of the day as a result.
