Meet a Westsider:
Todd Marts

Profession/Occupation... Interpretive Specialist at the Bear Creek Nature Center with El Paso County Parks.

What I like most about the Westside is... I enjoy the small-town atmosphere and the people.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... I like the Westside the way that it is, which is why I continue to live here.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... The last good movie we saw was “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... Let me give the best advice I’ve gotten: Pick a career that you will enjoy and a job that you will want to go to (almost ) every day.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... I would like to go for a walk with John Muir. He wrote these words: “Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike.”

The next time I travel, I’m going to... We are going to the Grand Canyon, the beach and Disneyland.

My favorite childhood memory is... I loved visiting Yellowstone National Park with my family.

My favorite winter pastime is... coaching my son’s hockey team.

Something good I’ve read is.. I continue to enjoy “A River Runs Through It.”

My pet peeve is... drivers that do not know how to do a four-way stop!

If I won the lottery, I’d... stop worrying about money and continue to live my current lifestyle with a few more luxury items.
