Buena Vista Elementary has upcoming Christmas-season shows. They are:
Dec. 6 at 12:45 and 6 p.m., band and orchestra concert. Dec. 18 at 12:30 and 6 p.m., musical by grades 1-3 (“Pirates of Penzance”). Academy for Advanced & Creative Learning students created a float and performed an original composition in the annual downtown Festival of Lights Parade Dec. 1. Led by teacher Jesse Wilson, the student effort included making a recording that played continually on the back of their float while they played along with live sound,” a school press release states.
