Nature Center seeks bears for ‘Celebration’
The Bear Creek Nature Center will hold its annual Winter Celebration Saturday, Dec. 10.
Crafts, puppet shows, stories, and refreshments will be provided, and there will be guided wildlife walks at 11 a.m. and noon.
No reservations are necessary. The entry “fee” is a new teddy bear for the annual Holiday Teddy Bear Drive that is continuing
through Dec. 17 (cash donations will also be accepted).
The center is at 245 Bear Creek Rd.
Each teddy donation will be added to the center’s collection that will be on public display through the 17th.
The drive is “to benefit people of all ages who are in need during the upcoming holiday season, including children and patients at
the Pikes Peak Hospice and the Community Partnership for Child Development, among other agencies,” a press release states.
