Meet a Westsider:
Kimme Rodgers

Profession/Occupation... Certified notary signing agent and part-time help at Garden of the Gods Trading Post.

What I like most about the Westside is... the small-town atmosphere. The people, the shops and the history. (Just about everything.)

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... the timing on some of the traffic lights.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Napoleon Dynamite” and “National Treasure.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... Just do what everyone else is doing. Best advice: “American ends in ‘I CAN’ and you can do anything” (my mom). Also best advice: “What other people think of you is none of your business” ( my sister).

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Albert Einstein or General George Patton; it’s a toss-up.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, Deadwood – the whole area.

My favorite childhood memory is... riding around with my mom in her CJ3B Willy’s Jeep. Also, having doughnuts and coffee with my mom or dad at the local bakery, spying on my two older sisters and traveling with the family.

My favorite fall pastime is... hanging around our funky old house (built 1889) with my husband, George, and two cats. And getting ready for the holiday season.

Something good I’ve read is.. “Ghost Stories of the Rocky Mountains,” volumes 1 & 2. A little hokey, but fun to read.

My pet peeve is... people who waste your time. It’s one thing you can’t get back. Also, any cruelty to animals.

If I won the lottery, I’d... make a lot of people very happy.
