Grand openings for Gunter-Wolff art gallery, Ace Hardware
Gunter-Wolff Gallery, Ltd. will have a grand opening “Meet the Artists” event Friday, Nov. 18, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Located at 2605 W. Colorado Ave., the gallery features original works in pottery, glass, jewelry and other media by local artists, including Ron Apgar, Janelle Cox, Carol Ettenger, Bill Hyer, Gene Sanchez, Terri Sanchez, Werner Schreiber and John Sherman. The new Ace Hardware store in the West Wind shopping center will offer refreshments and prizes and performances by the Coronado High cheerleaders and the Holmes Middle School Jazz Band during its grand opening Friday through Sunday, Nov. 18-20. The address is 4201 Centennial Blvd. Porcelain artist James Tsai will sign pieces and demonstrate his work Sunday, Nov. 20 at Santa Fe Springs in Old Colorado City. The times will be from noon to 4 p.m. Tsai is the creator of the Franz Ladybug pieces. Santa Fe Springs, a gift and art shop, is at 2422 W. Colorado Ave. The phone is 473-3967. The Adobe Walls Antique Mall and Trading Post will hold “A Victorian Christmas” Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26- 27. The promotional event will include costumed clerks, refreshments and outside artists - including hat-maker Jackie Matz and hand-made chest-maker Steve Pritchard. The mall is at 2808 W. Colorado Ave. TCF (Twin City Federal) Bank recently opened a branch on the Westside at 3290 Centennial Blvd. Heidi Myers Hulett is the branch manager. The bank is open seven days a week.
