19th-Uintah Shamrock station gets facelift
That big hole in the ground will soon become an upgraded Diamond Shamrock gas station at 1905 W. Uintah St.
Work began in late September to remove the old 10,000-gallon underground tanks (installed in 1971) and outdated fuel dispensers. The new tanks, along with card-reading dispensers, should be in place by the end of this month, according to Bill King of Front Range Equipment Service, the project contractor. No increase in the number of filling islands is planned, although the company is considering an expansion of the station's convenience store hut, he said. Westside Pioneer article |
