Biz buzz:
Safeway fetes Red Rock store’s remodel
The Safeway store in the Red Rock Shopping Center will have a “grand opening” of its recently remodeled interior
Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event will feature about 20 food-sampling stations and, for the children, face-
painting and games.
“It will be a party inside the store,” assistant manager Tara Kramer said. The remodeling work, which occurred over the past few months, changed some of the store's layout, expanded product selection and gave it a décor of “subdued lighting designed to make shopping more relaxing and comfortable,” according to a press release. The actual shopping space is the same as before, according to Red Rock store manager Scott Clifton. He added that the remodel is being instituted at Safeway stores nationwide. Elements Art Gallery will host an opening reception for “The Garden” - an exhibit of Garden of the Gods paintings by artist Lori Lusk - from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. The event is free and open to the public. The gallery is at 2616 W. Colorado Ave., Suite 1. Front Range Barbeque has begun offering live bluegrass music on Wednesday nights from from 7 to 10 p.m. There is no cover charge. ACE Cash Express recently opened at 630 N. 19th St. The business, which has more than 1,100 locations nationwide, provides such services as check-cashing, wire transfers, short-term loans, money orders and bill payments. The business is open Monday through Saturday. The phone is 634-2407. Do you have any news about your business? Call the Westside Pioneer at 471-6776. |
