Meet a Westsider:
Jeremy Johnson
Profession/Occupation... Front desk staff/reservations at Travelodge of Colorado Springs.
What I like most about the Westside is... being in the middle of all the tourist attractions. I’ve met some of the nicest people from all over the world that come to visit us. If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... the weather. I’m originally from Florida, so it’s still hard to deal with the winters. A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Crash.” It just came out on video. It’s very controversial but I like daring and original movies. The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... “to shave my head because women like it more.” If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Hugh Hefner. Brilliant man. The next time I travel, I’m going to... Thailand. It’s so mystical and enchanting. I feel I would have a great time as long as I had an Indiana Jones hat. My favorite childhood memory is... flying in the Red Baron biplane in Mobile, Ala., when I was 12. My mom was sick and couldn’t go, so they took me for a crazy ride. My favorite summer pastime is... sitting by a campfire in the woods with complete silence, except for nature, the crackling of burning wood (and the regular sound of opening a beer)! Something good I’ve read is.. anything by Terry Goodkind, he’s a genius. My pet peeve is... when people call me “Jermy.” My name has three syllables, thanks. If I won the lottery, I’d... buy a nice piece of property, maybe with a creek running through it, build a huge log cabin, buy a dog and live the rest of my life trying to help others less fortunate. Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776. |
