Katrina delays I-25 noise wall work
The drilling and pouring of the column foundations, called caissons, for Holland Park's I-25 noise wall has been postponed.
The postponement is due to concrete shortages from Hurricane Katrina, according to Bill Badger of Rockrimmon Constructors, the contractor for the I-25 widening project that started in June. The work had been scheduled to start during daytime hours Sept. 8. When built, the wall will be 16 feet high between Ellston Street and Colorado Technical University. From press release |
