Meet a Westsider:
Candy Lesoing

Profession/Occupation... Administrative Assistant at Howbert Elementary.

What I like most about the Westside is... the friendly people, laid-back atmosphere, being close to Garden of the Gods and the easy access to the mountains. (And of course, all my co-workers and the students at Howbert – past and present!)

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... we need a Target at Uintah Gardens.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “March of the Penguins.” It’s just amazing what those penguins go through!

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... If I received any, I cannot think of what it was. I really just draw a blank.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Neil Young, my all-time favorite musician.

The next time I travel, I’m going to... Las Vegas with my husband for the “Vegoose” concert at the end of October.

My favorite childhood memory is... playing with my sister, Christie, for hours and hours! Paper dolls, Barbies, riding bikes, playing house under the elm trees and spending many wonderful hours at our Trout Haven cabin with our parents, family and friends.

My favorite summer pastime is... I love going to rock and roll concerts, spending time with friends and family, going for walks, catching rays at Valley Swim Club, mountain drives and drinking cold beverages!

Something good I’ve read is.. I like reading the Rolling Stone magazine and I read the Westside Pioneer every week.

My pet peeve is... unhappy, selfish, mean people.

If I won the lottery, I’d... pay off some bills, visit my sisters and their families, help my kids financially and let my husband retire early!

Meet a Westsider” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you would like to be a Meet-a-Westsider (or know someone who should be), please give us a call at 471-6776.
