What do you do?
Linda-Marie Crespo
Where do you work and what is your title? I am the owner and clinical aesthetician of Morning Glory Face & Body. What do you do there and/or what are you responsible for? I rejuvenate, renew, and restore clients’ skin through antiaging peels, microdermabrasion, acne treatments, stress-relieving services and nutrition. I also offer brow design and waxing services. How long have you been doing this kind of work (total)? How long on the Westside? Skin care has always been an interest of mine. I have been licensed for seven years. I was awarded certificates for exceptional performance and dedication to customer service and satisfaction, while I was the senior aesthetician at a skin care clinic in southern California. I relocated to Colorado Springs in 2004. Prior to opening my own business in May 2005, I worked at the Garden of the Gods Club and Speirs Clinic for Plastic Surgery. What do you like best about it (other than quitting time)? I love being a part of the transformation of tired, dry, problematic skin to a healthy glow which lies just beneath the surface. When clients leave here they feel relaxed, refreshed and satisfied. If you could change one thing (other than pay), what would it be? I wish I could work on clients only and not have all the paperwork and business part of it. What part of your work did your training/education never prepare you for? That I would love it so much. It’s all about helping people; it’s not just a job. What makes working on the Westside special? I love living and working on the Westside. My business is located in an older, remodeled house along the avenue. People are friendly and supportive of each other, just like in the small town in Pennsylvania that I grew up in. I feel at home. “What do you do?” is a regular feature in the Westside Pioneer. If you know someone who has an interesting job on the Westside (but doesn’t live here), he/she might be a candidate for this column! If you know someone who might qualify, give us a call at 471-6776. |
