Post office to deliver held mail in 80904, 80905 zips
A new policy has been announced for postal customers in the 80904 and 80905 zip codes to get mail after they've had
deliveries stopped.
In the past, customers in those zip codes would pick up their held mail at the West End Station, 204 S. 25th St. However, this can no longer be easily done because the mail is sorted elsewhere - at the Carrier Annex, at 25th and Robinson streets, which opened last year and has no customer-service area, according to West End Manager Sue Luck. As a result, the new policy is that “we'll deliver to them versus them coming to get it,” she explained. This means that on the first business day that customers resume mail service, the carrier will deliver their held mail along with any other mail for that day, Luck said. To have mail held, customers need to ask for a “hold card” (Form 8076) from the post office and write on it the dates that mail delivery should be stopped and resumed.
