Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo thru July 12

The 68th annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo started July 9 and will continue through Saturday, July 12 at the Norris-Penrose Event Center, 1045 W. Rio Grande St.
The starting time each night is 7 p.m., plus there's a matinee July 12 at 12:30 p.m. About 600 competitors are vying for prizes money in steer wrestling, bareback broncs, tie-down roping, bull riding, saddle-bronc riding, team roping and women's barrel racing. Also on the schedule in Penrose Stadium are wild-cow milking, mutton-bustin' selectees and motorcycle riding, while outside the stadium are an array of supplemental activities - some free, some with a fee - for children and adults.
