amplified commentary for the event is Waddie Mitchell, a 
rancher and cowboy poet who helped start the Working 
Ranch Cowboys Association, of which Ride for the Brand 
Rodeo is a part.

       “The feedback was that it was a notch above last year, a great, great show,” said Kathleen Collins of Western Jubilee Recording Company, which organized the event as a volunteer effort. “We're totally delighted, honored and thrilled to be part of it.”
       The rodeo was one of 22 this year sponsored by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association (WRCA). Working cow-boys from 24 ranches competed in six events, representing their respective employers.
       Haythorn Land & Cattle Co. of Arthur, Neb., took first place, with Sand Hill Cattle Co. of Earth, Texas (last year's winner) second, and Tub Handle Cattle Co. & Pautsky Land & Cattle Co. third.
