Squash Blossom has opening July 8; Tiny Barge at T&B’s

       The Squash Blossom, an Old Colorado City art gallery, will hold an opening for Thomas Owen (landscape painter) and Stephen LeBlanc (bronze artist) Friday, July 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. Both have won numerous awards for their work.
       Several of their pieces will be on display for the remainder of July as part of a summer series in which a different wall and bronze artist are being spotlighted each month. The gallery is at 2531 W. Colorado Ave.
      
       Tiny Barge & the Big Chill, the lead band at the recent Territory Days, will play Friday, July 1 at Thunder & Buttons , 2415 W. Colorado Ave. The set will begin at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge.
      
       A commissioned suite of original oil paintings by Old Colorado City artist Laura Reilly was unveiled June 23 at the grand opening of the Mercedes-Benz of Colorado Springs dealership. The large-scale Colorado landscapes will reside in the dealership's permanent collection, according to Linda Muth, representing the Laura Reilly Gallery, 2616 W Colorado Ave #4.
      
       Book Sleuth is hosting a book signing by Ron Lovell, author of “Murder Below Zero,” Friday July 8 from noon to 2 p.m.
       Specializing in mystery books the Book Sleuth is in Old Colorado City at 2501 W. Colorado Ave.
