Planned I-25 interchanges to be topics at next Mesa Springs, OWN meetings
Representatives of the I-25 widening (COSMIX) project will talk on different aspects of the planned work at two upcoming
neighborhood meetings.
At the Tuesday, May 10 meeting of the Mesa Springs Community Association, there will be a presentation on the replacement interchange that has been designed (but not yet funded) for Fillmore Street and I-25. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the library at Pike Elementary, 2510 N. Chestnut St. For more information, call 260-6687. Another COSMIX discussion will be at a town meeting of the Organization of Westside Neighbors (OWN) Thursday, May 12 at the West Intergenerational Center, 25 N. 20th St. Starting at 7 p.m., the presentation will focus on the Westside traffic impacts anticipated from the replacement of the Bijou Street bridge over I-25. Contractor plans call for work to start there in summer 2006, with the access closed from January to October 2007 while a new interchange is put in. For more information, call 329-0793 or 575-9897. Both neighborhood meetings are open to the public. Westside Pioneer article |
