Scouts planting aspen trees at Nature Center
To celebrate Arbor Day, the Bear Creek Nature Center, 245 Bear Creek Road, has invited two Westside scout groups,
representing about 30 children, to help plant 12 aspen trees in front of the nature center at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30.
The groups are Cub Scout Pack #166 and Junior Girl Scout Troop #577. The trees were purchased by the non-profit El Paso County Naturalist Docent Organization with the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association Foundation. From a press release |
