Relocating from Manitou Springs, hair salon opens upstairs at Old Town Plaza April 11, 2018A hair salon recently opened upstairs in the Old Town Plaza commercial complex. Started in Manitou Springs in 1993, Blades a Salon is owned by Rose Murphy, who is also one of the stylists. The plaza address is 2501 W. Colorado Ave.; Blades is Suite 202. The doors are open Tuesdays to Saturdays. Appointments are requested, but “we do our best to accomodate walk-ins,” Murphy said. Hair-care products are also sold. The move from Manitou was precipitated by a “large increase in rent,” Murphy explained. “We were lucky enough to find this great location in Old Colorado City.
