28,000 on hand for St. Patrick's Day Parade
With kindly weather, 107 entries and a reported 28,000 people on hand, the 21st annual St. Patrick’s
Day Parade in Old Colorado City was a rousing success March 13, according to Chris Gorman of
event organizer O’Donnell & O’Donnell. “We’re very pleased,” she said. “The weather held up, and people had a great time.” The six winning entries will be awarded plaques at a ceremony at Meadow Muffins, 2432 W. Colorado Ave., at 11:30 a.m. March 20. In the 5-kilometer run down Colorado Avenue which preceded the parade, there were 487 male runners and 416 female. ![]() ![]() |
