Vendors unfazed by T-Days realignment
With the deadline for vendors having recently passed, Territory Days organizer Lynda Dunne reports no fall-off in interest
because of this year's move to a four-block alignment between 23rd and 27th streets on Colorado Avenue.
The expansion from the former three-block alignment was necessary because the City Fire Department decided that a much wider emergency lane (20 feet) was needed for the annual event. So, in order to fit in some 200 vendors and various festival attractions, Old Colorado City merchants agreed with Dunne's proposal to add the 2300 block. “Some vendors are concerned and a little nervous,” Dunne said. “But nobody said they wouldn't do it. They love Territory Days and Colorado Springs, and they're happy to be here.” Westside Pioneer article |
