Blewitt to speak at Mesa Springs Association meeting
Craig Blewitt, City Transportation Planning manager, will talk about the Centennial Boulevard extension project at the next
meeting of the Mesa Springs Community Asso-ciation Tuesday, March 8.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Pike Elementary School library. The Centennial project is intended, over time, to extend that four-lane road south from Fillmore Street to the Fontanero Street access at I-25. Another speaker at the meeting will be Brad Lovell, manager of capital improvements for the city's Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). Lovell will talk with residents about the CDBG sidewalk improvements that might be accomplished in Mesa Springs this year. At the April 12 association meeting, Lovell is scheduled to talk again about the CDBG work, while a representative from Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will come to the May 10 meeting to talk about the planned Fillmore Street/I- 25 interchange, according to Mesa Springs Com-munity Association Presi-dent George Gravenstein.
