New shop in Old Town specializes in African goods
A new business, specializing in hand-crafted goods from Africa, has opened in Old Colorado City. The company is Silver
Moon Presents (pronounced Pre-ZENTS), at 2603 W. Colorado Ave. Company president is Charles Cagiao.
Items include bolga baskets, busts and masks and 130-year-old, carved elephant leg bones from a palace in Nigeria, Cagiao said. The store also carries jewelry from the Kashmir area between India and Pakistan. The phone is 633-6400. Interlude has opened in its new location at 2583 W. Colorado Ave. The specialty shop moved from its old location on the other side of the 2500 block, and remodeled the new space. The phone is 630-1818. The Laura Reilly Gallery will host an open house on the first Friday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m., starting this Friday, March 4. The gallery, at 2616 W. Colorado Ave., features paintings by landscape artist Laura Reilly. Pray for snow!
