Westside politickin': Hente, Brody campaigns gearing up
Incumbent Scott Hente and challenger Al Brody, the sole candidates for City Council's District 1 seat in the April 5 election, are
beginning their campaigning efforts.
Both candidates are scheduled to attend the candidates' forums March 1 and 2 (see article below for details). Neither, however, has scheduled any campaign events as yet in the district's Westside areas, which includes Pleasant Valley and neighborhoods north of Uintah Street. Here are other upcoming appearances planned by the two candidates: Hente - Mobile Home Park Rally (Holiday Village) Saturday, Feb 26, 10 a.m.; Republican Women (Olympic Training Center) Tuesday, March 1, 5:30 p.m. Brody - East Library, Thursday, Feb. 24, 7-8:30 p.m.; Rockrimmon Branch Library, Monday, Feb. 28, 7-8:30 p.m. District 1 covers the city's northwest quadrant, also including Rockrimmon and east to Academy Boulevard.
