Free street trees from City Forestry
The city is taking first-come, first-served applications for free trees in its street tree planting program. The deadline is March 16.
Funding for the program is coming from Tree City USA funds, according to a city press release. Participants can choose from 16 different types of trees, all of which are drought-tolerant and low-water, the release adds. City Forestry will coordinate on street-planting locations. Responsibility for planting and watering is up to residents. A link to the application form is at springsgov.com/Forestry. For more information, call 385-5942. From a press release |
