Rock Ledge Ranch among Treecycle drop-off sites; donations benefit youth programs

Dec. 25, 2018
“Treecycle,” an annual recycling program for natural Christmas trees, will be offered at six locations around the city on the weekends of Dec. 29-30 and Jan. 5-6.
The Westside drop-off is the Rock Ledge Ranch parking lot, off Gateway Road at 30th Street, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
People are asked to donate $5 per tree. Decorations must be removed.
Treecycle is coordinated by Colorado Springs Youth Sports (CSYS), which runs the El Pomar Youth Sports Park.
“One hundred percent of donations received benefit our youth,” the press release states.
Donated trees are ground into mulch, which is made available at no charge while supplies last, the release adds.
For more information, call El Paso County government's Environmental Division at 520-7871.
The other Treecycle drop-off locations are listed at csyouthsports.org/treecycle.
