Meet a Westsider:
I am a senior consultant for EDS, and I work in our Applications Modernization Practice.
What I like most about the Westside is... it feels like the Colorado Springs I grew up in (Crag-moor) – slower pace, friendly folks, local businesses.
If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... I would LOVE for Uintah and Colorado Avenue to be more bicycle-friendly, and I would like to see a large organic grocery store over here.
A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “The War” – A seven-part WWII documentary series that aired recently on PBS. It is a fascinating, in-depth look at WWII from a variety of personal perspectives.
The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... My (former) real estate agent saying it was OK to buy a townhome that didn't have an active homeowners association!
If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... Past: Abraham Lincoln Present: Oprah Winfrey.
The next time I travel, I’m going to... Aspen for skiing, Dallas for work or Phoenix for golf and mountain biking – I’m not sure which will come first!
My favorite childhood memory is... summer camping trips to Clear Creek with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, and stopping at K’s for ice cream in Buena Vista on the way home.
My favorite winter pastime is... anything outside – hiking, snowshoeing, skiing.
Something good I’ve read is.. I read “The Christmas Box Collection” every year at Christmas; “The Secret Life of Bees” is another favorite, and from a professional perspective, “Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress Free Productivity.”
My pet peeve is... It’s a toss-up between wasting water and people who are rude to senior citizens.
If I won the lottery, I’d... pay off debt for my friends and family, buy a condo in the mountains, buy a condo on a beach and if there is anything left over just find ways to give it away.
