Police join Christmas Unlimited in Toy Drive

Colorado Springs Police have started their annual Christmas Toy Drive in partnership with Christmas Unlimited.
Through Christmas Day, collection boxes will be in the lobbies of each city police station, including the Westside's Gold Hill Division, 955 W. Moreno Ave. Citizens may drop off new, unwrapped toys in the boxes at any time. The stations are always open.
Colorado Springs Police will be identifying families with children ages 12 and under that are unable to provide Christmas gifts for their children, a press release explains.
Police officers and cadets along with “Santa” will deliver the toys Dec. 22-23. Last year the Toy Drive resulted in toys for about 400 needy children in Colorado Springs.
For more information, call Gold Hill at 385-2100.
