Meet a Westsider:
Kindra Dale

Profession/Occupation... customer service/sales counter at Ranch Foods Direct.

What I like most about the Westside is... wherever you go, you will most certainly run into a friendly face you know.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to curtail development in the few open scenic spaces we have left. Go north, east or south. Leave the mountainsides alone.

A good movie I’ve seen recently is... I don’t go to movies too much. I like old or classic movies on TV. I was moved by “The Passion of the Christ.”

The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... live for today, don’t worry about tomorrow.

If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... I hope to meet Jesus someday, but a historical character from the early Colorado Springs days, such as Helen Hunt, would be fun. Or Dustin Hoffman!

The next time I travel, I’m going to... The East Coast, New York or Vermont would be fun. My family has a maple farm that I’ve never seen.

My favorite childhood memory is... living in Germany on a very primitive farm. It was amazing. We had to boil water.

My favorite fall pastime is... collecting aspen leaves on drives through the mountains, cooking pumpkin seeds and having football parties.

Something good I’ve read is.. “Newport of the Rockies,” by Marshall Sprague, and recently an old, scary book titled “The Shoemaker,” by Flora Schreiber.

My pet peeve is... injustice or people being treated unfairly.

If I won the lottery, I’d... buy my dream property in Manitou and build a log home with a big fireplace.
