Santa Claus on his way to Bancroft Park

Santa Claus will return to the historic Garvin Cabin in Bancroft Park the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 23, from noon to 5 p.m.
After that, he will continue to be available to visits from youngsters on Saturdays and Sundays, plus noon to 4 Christmas Eve, courtesy of the Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) merchants group.
There is no charge for visits - just for photos with Santa that are taken by his “elves.”
Having Santa in the cabin has become an OCCA tradition. “It's just a goodwill thing to give back to the community, and it's also a good promotion for Old Colorado City,” said Nancy Stovall, coordinator of the OCCA's Christmas activities.
Other OCCA Christmas events will start in Dec-ember, including Fort Carson's Harmony in Motion singers Dec. 1 and Breakfast with Santa and Santa's Workshop Dec. 8.
