Rough patch for Coronado volleyball at state

After an upset win at the Division 4A regionals the previous week, Coronado High's volleyball team lost both its matches in the field of 12 at the state playoffs in Denver and was eliminated Nov. 8. Lewis-Palmer, one of the playoff teams that beat Coronado (although the Lady Cougars did take one game), went on to win the state title.
Coronado, which had won the Metro League, finished the season 18-9.
