About 90 percent of CPCD families live below the federal poverty line, states a press release, elaborating that ”many of these families fall short in paying utility bills, putting food on the table or providing warm coats for their children.”
Families are available for adoption through Dec. 8.
People may personally shop for their adopted family based on their needs and wish lists or make a cash donation and leave the shopping to volunteers, the release states. Utility vouchers, car seats, holiday food baskets and other donation options are listed as well.
