Signing for new nature-celebrating book Nov. 19

       A book-signing for "The Art of Connecting With Nature," a locally written book with 22 authors in all, will be at the Bookman, 3163 W Colorado Ave. in the Red Rock shopping center, Saturday, Nov. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m.
       “Coordinating author Mark J. Platten postulates that many youths may be becoming removed from the fabric of nature that he enjoyed as a child, and hopes these insights might help them feel more connected with the fate of their earth,” a press release states.
       Co-authors include Joe Uveges, Martin Bridge, Kyle Gardner, Dean Frankmore, Ahriana Platten, Peg Gould, Ann Grant Martin, Sharlene Yabe Hansen, Sherry Dell, Steve Trombulak, Scott Williams, Asherah Allen, Meryl Runion Rose, Mary Rose Love, Dawn Pastorius, Cheryl Conklin, David Rudin, Rhoda Friend, Karen Berggren, Scott Olson and Elena Singing Otter.
