FEMA reps at hardware store Nov. 8-12

       A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) mitigation team will offer building tips during store hours at the Ace Hardware store in Uintah Gardens Friday through Tuesday, Nov. 8-12.
       The address is 1830 W. Uintah St.
       The mitigation team will answer questions and provide free reference booklets in English and Spanish with the following titles: “Preparing Makes Sense, Get Ready Now”; “Protecting Your Home From Flood Damage”; “Help After a Disaster”; and “Mold & Mildew: Cleaning Up Your Flood-Damaged Home.”
      
       Art show at restaurant
       Front Range Barbeque will present its third annual Locals Art Show Monday, Nov. 11.
       Business owner Brian Fortinberry said the restaurant is normally closed on Mondays, but will open that day for the show from 6 to 9 p.m.
       “We'll have a couple of musicians playing, with the bar open and a limited menu,” he explained. “It will be an opportunity to let some local artists make some money before the holidays and show off their wares.”
      
       Coat giveaway Nov. 9
       The Infiniti's Hair Salon plans to give away 60 new coats to children from needy families Saturday, Nov. 9.
       The giveaway will start at 9 a.m. and continue until all the coats are distributed, said business owner Al Roberts.
       The business is at 4101 Centennial Blvd.
