Willow Bend Studios, 514 N. 17th St.; and the Jane & Keith Roberts Studio, 610 Pioneers Lane, will be open Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 16 from10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The free event invites people to visit local artists in their studios and/or galleries. "It's a chance to meet the artists and see their working space," said Lori DiPasquale, an organizer and participant. "The tour also helps develop a sense of community, showing that we have artists in our own backyard and we don't have to drive to Santa Fe."
This year's event will have16 artists in all at locations in Manitou, the West Side, the Old North End, Mountain Shadows, and Rockrimmon. Willow Bend is where Marc Jenesel and Karen Pierce combine their talents on clay, fiber, metal and stone pieces. The Roberts, specializing in jewelry (Jane) and sculpture (Keith), will be joined at their studio this year by potter/sculptor Jeremiah Houck and pop-art pet painter Carole Reece.
In past years, the event has gone under the names "Art Studio Tour" and "Artists' Studio Tour."
