Volunteers sought to finish building new Red Rock Canyon connector trail Oct. 14 Oct. 5, 2018The completion of a new connector trail is planned in Red Rock Canyon Open Space Sunday, Oct. 14. Volunteers are needed. The meeting place is Red Rock's 31st Street parking lot at 8 a.m., from which participants will be car-pooled to the project location. The workday will be led by Colorado Springs Parks with the Manitou CATS trailbuilding group. Advance registration is requested at the City Parks event website: cerv.is/m?0132gaUUd05. The new trail will connect the recently built Red Rock Overlook Trail with the White Acre Ridge Trail. “This trail will create more loop options for hikers, bikers and runners,” a press release states.
