Three in a tree – bear facts on the Westside
With a dry streambed as a “wildlife corridor,” Bob Tegler says he’s seen a great many undomesticated critters behind his house at 615 Columbia Road over the past 13 years. But Sept. 19 was the first time he’s ever had three bears in one of his trees. What appeared to be a mother and two cubs dozed most of the day on a sturdy limb before ambling off around dark, Tegler said. The photo at top shows one of them acting curious.
