Sunday concerts at Gold Hill Mesa
The Gold Hill Mesa development group is hosting a free Sunday concert series through September in the grass ampitheater outside the Gold Hill community center at 142 S. Raven Mine Drive.
Free and open to the public, the shows will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. The scheduled performers are: “Last year was our first time hosting these concerts, and we had such a great response that we've decided to make it an annual event,” said Stephanie Edwards of Gold Hill Mesa. Firewise by CSU Extension A free presentation titled “Firewise Landscape Design and Recovery” will be given by the Colorado State University Extension Sept. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the El Paso County Citizens Service Center, 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road, Room 1019. The talk will address landscaping methods that can reduce forest fire risk and steps residents can take to recover fire-damaged landscaping. Handicap parking at the Service Center can be used by anyone on weekends; additional parking is available in the parking garage. Westside Pioneer/press releases |
