Meet a Westsider:
Aundrea Fuller

Profession/Occupation... Marketing coordinator for the Westside Community Center.

What I like most about the Westside is... The feeling of home. There is something special about the Westside. No words can explain it but we all feel it.

If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be...All of the construction, squeezing in new houses and buildings. Our streets can't handle all the traffic, making it hard for us to get in and out of our neighborhoods.

A good movie I've seen recently is... “Moana,” with my daughter.

I’d like to discover... something hidden or historic. A new cave; another tunnel system underground, like under Old Colorado City; old tools that the miners used off 21st; a hidden room under an old house. That kind of stuff!

If I could meet someone famous, I'd like to meet... a few movie stars - Betty White (“The Golden Girls”), followed by Jim Carrey (“The Grinch”), James Marsters (“Buffy” fan here) and Dakota Fanning.

The next time I travel, I'm going to... Does camping count? Well, for now, that shall be my next destination. Where? TBD. Know of any kid-friendly camping spots somewhat near water?

My favorite childhood memory is...playing with my friends at Grandma's house on Modes Street. The roads were still red dirt at first. When it rained the worms would come up and I'd cry cause they'd get run over!

My favorite fall pastime is... I like going to both Prospect Lake and Gold Camp Road to look at the panoramic views of the trees in their fall colors.

Something good I've read is... the Westside Pioneer. I learn a lot from it, like finding out about the Alzheimers group on Bott. I also check out the archives (on the website) for research information that is work-related or personal.

My pet peeve is... people who litter. Drives me crazy when someone dumps their trash in a parking lot or out a window. The worst is a cigarette. Come on people, that's my backyard you could be catching on fire. Some people don't think about that.

If I didn't have to work for a year... This is assuming I have the money to do so... I'd have to go see all the sites in America. California, a few beaches (as I've only seen the ocean once), Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, National Parks. Go be a tourist. LOL.
