OCCA calling all artists for Sept. 23

The Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) merchants group has put out a request for “artists of all media” to participate in the second annual Art on the Avenue event Saturday, Sept. 23.
Examples are painters, jewelery makers, potters, sketchers, henna artists and street performers “to perform their art form in front of stores in Old Colorado City,” states a press release from OCCA.
As part of the event, chalk artists are also being sought to create works on the pavement in Old Town Plaza or on brick walls.
The art event will coincide with OCCA's Taste of Old Colorado City the same day.
