Meet a Westsider:
Profession/Occupation... owner/ operator of Jim England Trucking, Inc.
What I like most about the Westside is... the friendly, small town atmosphere.
If I could change anything about the Westside, it would be... to return it back to when it was not as crowded as it is now. I miss Rogers’ Bar and the Avenue as it used to be and the numerous horse stables around the area.
A good movie I’ve seen recently is... “Dead Man Walking.”
The worst advice I’ve ever gotten was... that we would never be able to permanently move away from New York City. That was 30 years ago.
If I could meet someone famous, I’d like to meet... many of the military personnel who have fought for our country. As far as I’m concerned, they are the true celebrities.
The next time I travel, I’m going to... the Daytona Motorcycle Rally.
My favorite childhood memory is... family vacations in the Pennsylvanian countryside. We had a summer house on the Delaware River. We’d jump in the river, swim and fish there.
My favorite summer pastime is... riding my Harley in the rallies (Sturgis and Cripple Creek) and around the state.
Something good I’ve read is.. “Haunted Mesa,” by Louis L’Amour.
My pet peeve is... cars on the road that abruptly pull out in front of semi trucks. This is extremely dangerous since big trucks cannot suddenly stop or change direction.
If I won the lottery, I’d... travel around the U.S.A. There are so many beautiful places that I would love to see.
